Raffle draw: 30 December, 2026
Modern dating apps reduce people to a handful of photos and tick-boxes. The LoveSci Project tests whether personality matching, based on leading love science, can work instead.

The process
Upload some profile pictures, then describe yourself in an AI-guided chat. The more you describe, the better your match quality and the higher your chances to win.
Our algorithm will show you 1-3 people we think you're most compatible with. Rank them in order of your preference, and we'll get back to you with your best match.
Meeting your match is completely optional! Simply setting up and ranking our suggestions earns tickets in the raffle. The raffle will be drawn on 30 December, 2026, to determine the winner.

The premise
Dating apps throw you into a pool of thousands with nothing but photographs and a few short responses to go off. No wonder it's so hard to find someone you really click with.
The LoveSci Project tests the opposite approach: can we use AI to capture the full picture of who you are and match you like a mutual friend would?
No swiping. No small-talk leading nowhere. No pressure on standing out against thousands of others. No games.

The introduction
If you decide you'd like to talk to your match, our AI can suggest a few topics of conversation (or ideas for a first date) based on the interests you share.
Just enough to give you a running start, without giving too much away, to take the pressure off those first few messages.

Conduct & data
Your conversation is never shown to another participant. Matches see only your photos and a compatability score.
You choose when to stop, and you can withdraw and have your data deleted at any point.
Results are published as anonymised patterns across the pool — never as individual stories.
No advertising, no third-party sharing, no costs. The study funds itself.

FAQ
The AI setup conversation takes place over 4 stages. Only the first stage is required, but each subsequent stage earns more tickets in the raffle. Successful referrals can also earn extra tickets.
The incentive for love is stronger. Only one person can win the $5k prize, but everyone will have to complete the lengthy setup conversation, and all will get the chance to find love with a match. We also prevent multiple entries by requiring a unique phone number.
The experiment tests a number of things. Social aspects include level of detail people provide in what they look for in a partner, how people rank their recommendations, and how many people go through to meet their match. More technical aspects include the matching algorithm itself and how well it predicts compatibility.

Enrolment
Sign up and setup your profile now. We'll notify you when the pool reaches capacity and we release all recommendations.
